Day 6: Sight seeing at Adelaide
Our last stop on our amazing Aussie tour was Adelaide! Adelaide has a small town feel compared to Sydney but there are still tons of things to do in the area. Our choice of hotel this time was the Majestic Minima.
Take a trip to the Adelaide zoo, walk through lush green parks to the St. Peters Cathedral or take a stroll to the Adelaide Oval and witness one of the world’s best cricket grounds.
The Majestic Minima is definitely minima on all fronts. The hotel is tightly constructed, rooms closely located but still provides a majestic experience. The rooms are comfortable enough for 2 adults although you do need to figure out where to stack your suitcases.
The rooms are very modern and sleek. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They helped us in figuring out transportation, restaurants and were accommodating of our needs.
There are many things to do around Adelaide. Take a trip to the Adelaide zoo, walk through lush green parks to the St. Peters Cathedral or take a stroll to the Adelaide Oval and witness one of the world’s best cricket grounds. There are also tons of restaurants around the area catering to everyone’s tastes. We spent the afternoon walking around town and exploring the sights.
Rahul was especially excited to be in Adelaide thanks to the ICC World Cup match between India and Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval.
Keeping up with our Valentine’s day tradition, dinner was at a cozy little on-the-beach restaurant at The Rocks on the Glenelg Pier Hotel. The food was delicious, views were amazing and the company was (ofcourse) outstanding!
The next day, we got to see an extremely zealous cricket match (which India won!). The night was spent dancing and cheering through the streets. .
So that was Australia for us. We certainly have a lot more to do and a lot more to explore.. so until next time.. we bid adieu to Australia.
